Well, last night was the second installment on our international cooking adventure. Rachel was in charge. She is a great menu planner and scoped out lots of possibilities on FoodNetwork.com. , She chose bruschetta with Gorgonzola cheese and honey, lemon spaghetti, and homemade pizza. She also wanted to make chocolate bread pudding, but we already had some leftover cookies so we opted out of that one.
Almost everyone enjoyed the appetizer bruschetta, but Jared wasn't too fond of the "Gorgonzola spice" that was in the cheese. I personally thought it was divine and ate way too many. Ryan, Sarah, Maren and me all liked the pasta, but Rachel and Jared thought it was too tart. And it should be no surprise that everybody liked the pizza. We played those pretty safe and made pepperoni and ham/pineapple. Wow, was I full after all that good stuff.
We all worked in the kitchen together and had a good time making all these fun dishes. It was pretty sweet because Jared was trying hard not to say he didn't like some of the food, because he didn't want to hurt Rachel's feelings. We had to make a declaration that it's okay to not like some of it since we're all trying new things. I wonder what he'll think when he finds out what Gorgonzola spice really is?

yummmy. Such a great idea. I will have to borrow this idea when my kids get older. Such a great way to introduce them to new foods!
mmmm... that looks really yummy. And yes I would love to call the girls and remind them about YW. I'm excited to see the pics! See you tommorow at 7p.m.
I am slobbering all over my laptop looking at that picture. Sounds like my kind of international cooking night. YUM!
Where are you traveling to next? Life at your house is much more exciting than mine. Now, how are you coming along on those 89 problems?
Amy! Great idea. Corby and I will definate copy you...when our kids are older and will actually eat!
Anyway. I have a new recipe for you. I sent it with the email you sent me but i wasn't sure you were gonna get a copy so~ I'll email it to you. Hope alls well.
Thanks for the Happy Birthday! I'm planning on pigging out on my cheesecake! Your the best!:)
I want to come and eat at your house. It all sounds so yummy.
I'm just wondering how we can buy tickets to around the world night. I think Scott needs to return Ryan's bike wrench right about dinner time Monday night.
