#2s bad week

Rachel had a sad week this week.  First, her favored group of toys was struck by that mysterious disease, the Barbionic plague- contracted by riding in a black-lined bag to Idaho.  Oh the tragedy.  She had packed her very favorite dolls to play with her cousins at the cabin, and they all were afflicted with facial, lower extremity, or (gasp) bosom shading (as most of them were not wearing clothes). We were unable to get the coloring off despite trying bleach, oven cleaner, and fingernail polish remover.  I think these Barbie's will have eternal five o'clock shadows.

She was very lucky to be invited to stay a few extra days at a favorite cousin's home, but not so lucky to fall and break her arm while visiting a pizza parlor/playground.  My sister reported getting food poisoning there previously, and now we've gotten a broken limb, so they've pretty much lost our patronage.  Forever.
Next week she will go get a hard cast.  On the bright side, I took her shopping this morning for button-up shirts as T-shirts were pretty much impossible to get over her temporary, but enormous, arm wrap.  So, hopefully next week will be a bit better.

Man that Leo's Place. If it ain't diarrhea it's a broken arm. And yet, I still go back there. What is the hold that Leo's has on us? The sweet sweet climby thing? The fried zucchini? Questions that may never be answered.

But Rachel, you are super tough and all the hot boys are going to want to talk to you about your rad cast. Get ready for some serious popularity when school starts. :)

Poor Rachel! But, if she has to be injured, it's only right that Barbie should suffer, too. And, really, haven't we all wanted to see Barbie have some flaws?
