Ryan and I woke up this morning to discover that we were locked inside our bedroom. It was quite early when Ryan first got up, and we didn't want to yell for any of the kids to let us out, thereby waking them up. So Ryan had to try to pick the lock- but we don't really keep any good lock-picking items in our bedroom, so it took him a little while to free us.
Our sly son, Jared, had turned the doorknob on our door around. He is in charge on Monday afternoons while I'm at work, so he was at his leisure to plan and carry out this prank. He also came in during the wee hours of the morning claiming a nightmare and just checking to make sure everything was okay. We didn't even notice when he shut the door tightly behind him. Although it was frustrating this morning, I'm so proud of him. I love a good joke, and he got us good. But he better watch out, because there's always payback!

I think his prank with genuise! I shared with everyone yesterday. I didn't come up with anything to get Austin, did you get Jared back at all?
He is so clever! I used his inspiration for Jay and vasalined the door into the house from the garage. Thanks J!
We LOVE April Fools Day. Unfortunately, Corby is sick so it wasn't as fun as years past but I still managed to work a few pranks in. Everyone had their toothbrushes frozen inside an icecube and instead of water to drink I fooled Corby with some sprite I had left in the fridge over night so all the bubbles were gone. Oh! And don't forget throwing a giant rubber spider in my daughters shower! He He He! I'm so mean!
Jared, you are one of my favorite people. I love the relationship you have with your parents! Awesome! I am afraid to share that one with my girls. But seriously, I don't think they could figure that one out. Amy you should have just turned on a movie and wished Jared good luck on taking care of all the kids out there!
