Bein' Green

Last weekend Rachel hosted a Green party in honor of St. Patrick's Day. I only allowed her to invite three people and Sarah got to invite one. She served her friends green foods, shamrock cupcakes, and chocolate gold coins. She helped with all the cooking and organized the games. It was pretty fun.

What a wonderful lot of fun! I love this party part of motherhood. Over Halloween, Lacey Grace had a witch tea party and the festivities included tracing each little witch in attendance on butcher paper and allowing them to decorate their witches with markers. Lacey Grace's witch hung on the wall until Christmas, when, looking at it closely, I realized that the life size decoration hanging in our kitchen for all to see was perfectly detailed anatomically - nothing had been left to the imagination. I'd like to know how I looked at that every day without noticing her attention to detail and how many of the people we've entertained since then, did.

By the way, the Wowie-wow-wow I mentioned is Junie B. Jones. These books are even better listened to on C.D. than read to oneself. So funny and perfect for your Sarah.

I know--what a sweet mom you are to do that. Elise said her prayers last night, "thank you for such a wonderful St. Patrick's day" and I'm trying to think of anything we did to make it special. It must not be up to me! Looks like a fun party!
