Maren told her dad he had to make her bath from now on because 'Mom always makes me have cold water.' At least from now on, anyway.
Today when we opened the garage, Brutus (stupid dog of the century) had stepped on a sticky mousetrap and it was stuck to his foot. He came whimpering out and Maren was TERRIFIED of him. She screamed and wouldn't get out of the car, was crying and clinging to me. She couldn't seem to understand that it was our regular dog, not some crazy monster making a rather hilarious slapping sound as he ran around. I put her in the house and pulled it off of him, and then everything was cool again.
Maren said to me the other day, "Mom, we are good at yelling at Brutus, aren't we?" I guess I have to be good at something.

Haha! Brutus. What a moron! I get such a kick out of Maren. She is hilarious.
Being good at yelling is what moms do best. Seems a little harsh that you won't let Maren bathe in warmer water, but hey, it beats getting yelled at!

That is so funny. You still have that pooch! I still remember when you got him. We've told our kids no pets so you are way nicer than us! Even if you bathe your kids in cold water! :)
