Sometimes you get it right

Wow- sometimes it seems like whatever you try you just spin your wheels and your family just kind of drifts along. Well, today I nailed it. (I need that once in a while). I decided to make bread, b/c my sister-in-law gave me a no-fail recipe (you can get it from Sara's recipe blog).

So I had just pulled four loaves from the oven which myself, Maren and Sara were enjoying with a little jam, and Jared walked in with 6 friends!! He had gone to hang out with a buddy (you can't say play 'cause he's too old for that) and they ended up amassing a whole group, going on a bike ride, and needing a break, so they stopped at our house. And here was his mother slicing homemade bread with homemade jam, and I gave them all some, and they all thought I was the coolest! It was a good moment. (And it was whole wheat- so it was healthy too!)

I'll have to try the bread. Looks yummy. What I want to know is were you still "all that, and a slice of homemade bread" when you pulled out your camera. He! He!

What a cool mom! I wish I could have seen Jared as they all left, proudly walking out with jam still at the corners of his mouth strutting his "I have a cool mom" stuff! You know he did...:) I am so excited to make that bread, It looks SOOOO yummy! I love that the slice is so thick Sarah can barely fit it in her mouth. And the side ponytail girl is giving me flash backs to my neighborhood bike riding days Is that for real?

You sound like Leave It To Beaver's mom and I'm so jelous! I think bread is the first thing I'll make when I have a kitchen with a working sink! Thanks for your feedback on my green paint.

That bread looks tasty! And kudos on being the cool mom. You always are the coolest, just don't get "caught" at it often enough. Yay!

Where is my bread!?! just kidding. Haha, although you'll have to call me when you make it again. Thanks for the comment. Yeah, I will call everyone and remind them. And ya know I would be more then happy to watch the kids ANYTIME! Do you already have a summer babysitter set up for the kids on Monday's? If not I would be glad to do it! I am searching for a summer babysitting job. Anytime feel free to call and I can be there in less then 5 to help out. Also if you ever need help with cleaning or organizing I love to do it and am great at it. Also if you know anyone else who is in need of those things feel free to pass the word on. You know I love you and your family. Even if I did set the oven on fire..:S hehe. The kids will never forget that! So let me know I would be glad to ANYTIME. And have an awesome birthday, if I get a chance I will call ya!
